#16 Lindsay Parsons Preserve, West Danby
Meet-up: dirt parking lot about 1/2 mile south of Sylvan Drive and the West Danby fire station, on the east side of Route 34-96.

This walk is one of a small number we do that take us into really spacious fields. We spend about 15 minutes outbound and even longer on the way back crossing a series of beautifully rolling fields – the terrain is highly picturesque and delightful, with great long views. These fields are also fun because they’re managed for the benefit of the insects who live in them, so they’re mowed more often than some others we walk through.
There’s also a couple of lovely ponds here that you can see clearly on the Google Maps page, and considerable wooded areas.
The only drawback is that the trail system is a little complex; unless you come here often, or have a good visual memory, it’s easy to get a bit confused – though it’s impossible to get actually lost
