The Bob Cameron Loop is a moderate 2.9 mile loop trail that is open 12 months a year. Running off of the Finger Lakes Trail, the Cameron Loop features some moderate descents/ ascents as well as a couple of water crossings.
Hunting is allowed around the Loop, so hikers should use caution and wear appropriate high visibility clothing during hunting season.
From the parking area near the radio tower, walk south on Tower Rd approximately 200 yards before turning west onto the FLT. Once on the FLT, the Cameron Loop branches off from the FLT about 200 yards from Tower Rd.
Written driving directions to trailhead:
Travelling west from Ithaca on state route 79 ( Mecklenburg Rd ) , Black Oak Rd will be a left turn a couple of miles before the county line.
Turn onto Black Oak Rd, continue until you’ve passed Cayutaville Rd
After passing Cayutaville Rd Black Oak Rd becomes Tower Rd, which makes a couple of right turns before dead ending at the 911 radio tower.
